Founded in 1980, Scott School of Dancing is based at Silverburn Gymnastic Centre in the Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. In our 2 dance studios, we teach examination graded ISTD Syllabi in Ballet, Tap and Modern Theatre dance. Additionally we offer examination graded SDTA Highland, as well as non-graded Jazz and Contemporary dance.
Our primary aim is to nurture and encourage our students to achieve their full potential and enrich their personality through learning and performance in the diversity of dance. The happiness and welfare of our students is our top priority with the ultimate goal being success at every level.
Our secondary aim is to make dance more available to all students, and enable them to carry their training and disciplines with them as they make their way through a career in dance or everyday life.
Dance is a multifaceted activity that engages various cognitive processes, from memory and attention to creativity and social interaction. By incorporating dance into their regular activities, children can enhance their cognitive function, overall mental sharpness and brain health.
